The Law Offices of Lee Arter was founded in 1992 and currently has a staff of five attorneys and fifteen support staff. Our Attorneys have served as volunteer arbitrators for the Los Angeles County Superior Courts and has extensive experience in mediating and arbitrating cases. We are exceptional advocates for our clients.
Steven M. Karp has practiced in the personal injury field for more than 40 years. He has been a partner in an insurance defense firm, Iorillo & Karp and thereafter founded the Law Offices of Steven M. Karp where his emphasis was insurance bad faith litigation, serious accident defense, and insurance coverage work. Mr. Karp is a member of the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. He is a former member of the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association and the Southern California Defense Counsel. He graduated from Hastings College of Law in 1976.
Orly Talmor received her undergraduate degree from California State University Northridge in political science and was awarded membership in Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science honors society. She attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and obtained her Juris Doctorate in 1991. She has extensive experience in plaintiff's personal injury and in worker's compensation. Orly handles catastrophic injury cases through trial. She is fluent in Hebrew, has two daughters and resides in West Hills, CA.
Eric D. DeBellis is a newly admitted member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Central and Eastern Court Districts. He attended the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Eric has been employed by the Law Offices of Lee Arter for the past ten years as an Office Administrator and Negotiator. He attended law school and received his Juris Doctorate from Abraham Lincoln University. He resides in Pasadena with his wife, Theresa, and their three children. He enjoys golfing, and is an avid Dodger fan.
Makan has a degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a J.D. from Southwestern Law School. While at Southwestern Law School, Makan was the president and founder of the Tort Litigation Society. Makan broadened his academic experience by externing at the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office in their major crimes division. Concurrently, Makan began working part-time here at the Law Offices of Lee C. Arter for two years prior to passing the California bar exam. In his spare time, Makan enjoys outdoor activities, attending sporting events, and walking his dog.
